The basins of Renzo Piano's terraces upon Centre Pompidou. Quite an exceptional commission !
The problem: creating mirror-effects in the water on top of the modern art museum with no more than 15 cm of height available. It is understood that the smallest leakage would have meant a disaster.
The chosen solution implied a departure from traditions in fountain-building, in terms of hydraulics as well as masonry.
